Greenwood Art Guild

Mission Statement:

The Greenwood Art Guild of Greenwood, AR is a local club that provides encouragement, education, and a forum for the appreciation of the visual arts.  The Guild offers Greenwood and surrounding communities an avenue to broaden their creative pursuits by striving to:

* Encourage:  Encouragement to artists and craftspeople through collaboration and interaction

* Educate:      Educational opportunities, workshops, and demonstrations

* Exhibit:        A forum in which the community can appreciate the visual arts through exhibits and
                       community projects.

What We Do:

Our meetings are informal and relaxed.  Members show any work they have completed or is in progress and get feedback from others.  We often paint together, join workshops, discuss classes or conventions that some have attended, or a member or guest will give a demo in their style of art.  Willing members participate in a rotation schedule for displaying art in the lobby of Greenwood's Bancorp South Bank and at Greenwood City Hall.  There are often other opportunities throughout the year for displaying our work as well.  We occasionally have community projects that we work on as a group.  We've also decided that art and food go nicely together.

Meeting Times:

The Greenwood Art Guild meets every 4th Thursday of January through October at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the main branch of Farmers Bank in Greenwood, AR.  Watch our website's home page for changes in location.
